Krista Hynes is a seasoned financial professional with over 11 years of experience in the industry, and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with a passion for financial literacy. As the managing partner and planner at Ignite Financial Solutions in St. John’s, she specializes in working with young professionals and pre-retirees, helping them to build and maximize their wealth, ultimately creating financial freedom on their own terms.
Throughout her career, Krista has actively contributed to the financial and broader communities by holding board positions for various charitable organizations and industry associations. A firm believer in the power of involvement and action, Krista is dedicated to fostering a more financially literate and stable community, striving to empower individuals to take control of their financial futures and build lasting wealth.
She is currently working on financial empowerment projects including money mindset workshops, wellness events and seminars to help make talking, supporting, and engaging in money dialogue more accepted and structure. Krista is a believer in self-investment and growth, she is working on her MBA and is also working toward Financial Councillor certification.

Sharla Brown is a Canadian social entrepreneur, philanthropist and humanitarian who has been passionate about entrepreneurship, leadership and social issues her entire life. In the last 10 years Sharla has received 13 business and social impact awards, including the international WEF Iconic Women in Social Enterprise Award in 2016, the 2019 Ruby Award from Soroptimist International, a nomination for the 2017 Ontario Premier’s Award, 2019 Philanthropist by the Toronto Waterfront Women’s Awards, and has been invited to meet OPRAH!
For more than 24 years, through her entrepreneurial endeavours, Sharla has supported numerous community organizations. As the president of her event management company Keynote Events, she has created and executed more than 200 events and contributed more than 2 million dollars to various community and international charities.
Sharla mentors, teaches and inspires other women to embrace their leadership potential and entrepreneurial spirit. She empowers those around her to use their gifts to create a purpose-driven life doing what they love because she believes that each person’s gifts are like pebbles they can toss into the water, creating ripples that positively impact the world around them.
In 2015, Sharla travelled to Ecuador, and a world-changing ripple effect began through her creation of One Woman and One Girl.
These global social enterprises are on a mission to help women and girls around the globe live their dreams and reach their full potential through education, skills development and entrepreneurship.
