At around age 10, I went into a coma for a few days; I still cannot fully comprehend what was going on with my body but I recall having a significant stomach pain the day of my hospitalization. I was later told that I had an adverse reaction to Penicillin. When I awoke from the coma, I had to learn how to walk again and my tongue had been coated in white (death was trying to take over). Looking back, this was one of my first encounter with God’s favor over my life. You see, I have always known I was created for a purpose, despite my personal walk with God and being a Christian for most of my life; I recently reached a placed in my life where I was still enough to listen to His revelation over my life. Once this happened, I discovered my universal assignment.
I was a caseworker and casework supervisor in the child welfare field for over 15 years where advocating for/working with vulnerable populations became a passion. I went back to school in May 2015 and graduated with my Masters of Social Work in January 2018. Since then, I continued working for my agency and was transitioned to a couple of new and exciting positions. God’s revelation occurred through daily mediation which has positioned me to live purposefully. I sought God and He heard me. I am currently in training to becoming a Certified Life Coach (my universal assignment/purpose). I not only enjoy advocating for people but also motivating and inspiring people and seeing them thrive. If I can touch one life, I have an opportunity to touch millions. Today, I begin my day with ‘miracle mornings,’ where I devote 30 minutes towards devotions/prayer and 30 minutes of exercise (wellness). During this time, I can truly hear from God and can be peaceful on purpose about my day/life. Deciding to do things on purpose is not always easy but possible. It starts by governing your thoughts which then allows for consistency in your beliefs and behavior.
My goal is to one day step out on faith and become an entrepreneur, owning my consulting/coaching business. I’m believing God for vision, increase, and purpose to make my dreams and His calling upon my life a reality. I was literally born again to fulfill my universal assignment and this is why I am going to live peaceful on purpose. I am a tree planted here on earth to produce fruits and grow in each season of my life. I want to help others cross their finish line on this journey of life and to know that they too can become POP.
